URGENT REPAIRS
After an accident at sea the 16.7mtr Scalloper Alicia Rose required urgent repairs to her severely damaged 52” x 4-Blade Propeller. Our team worked around the clock to restore the damage on all four blades. For two of the blades the process included welding on donor plate material and then grinding and polishing the blades back to the correct profile.
The other two blades required straightening using both hot and cold techniques. The propeller was statically balanced (see the video) and inspected on our computerised MRI Scanning equipment. New shaft keys, nuts and washers and refurbishment of the propeller seal plate were all carried out as part of a complete service.
